Islamic Realms - Nasoot, Malakoot, Lahoot
What is Nasoot, Malakoot, Jabroot, Lahoot etc. Mukaam?
In Islam, Alam refers to World or Universe. Islamic mystics mention various realms which they themselves don't have any knowledge about. Some describe them as worlds while some consider these as realms or Mokaam or Mukam. What are these realms or worlds or stages or mukam has been described clearly by God Kabir. When God Kabir met Prophet Muhammad, they had a conversation. During that conversation Prophet Muhammad described his ultimate mukam as Lahoot. In response to that God Kabir explained all the Mukam to Prohpet which are as under.

- Nasut - also known as Nasoot, Naasut, Alam e Nasut
- Malkut - also known as Malkoot, Alam e Malakut
- Jabrut - also known as Jabroot, Alam e Jabrut
- Lahut - also know as Lahoot, Alam e Lahoot
- Hahoot - also know as Hahut, Alam e Hahoot
- Baahoot - also know as Bahut, Alam e Baahoot
- Faahoot - also know as Fahut, Alam e Faahoot
- Raahoot - also know as Rahut, Alam e Raahoot
- Aahoot - also know as Aahut, Alam e Aahoot
- Jaahoot /Yahoot - also know as Jahut, Alam e Jaahoot / Yahoot
Below is the description given by God Kabir about various mukams in his speech in Kabir Sagar
Kabir’s Statement
Suno Muhammad kahon bujhaai | Saaheb tumko deun bataai ||
Chalae sael ko donon peera | ek Muhammad ek Kabira ||
In the couplet above God Kabir says to Muhammad that let me tell you who is the Real God. After saying that God Kabir takes Muhammad for a tour of the unknown worlds (Alam). God Kabir then describes each of those worlds or Mukaam's to Muhammad as under.
(Naasoot) Mokaam 1
Bhoomi se chaley jahaan pahunchey jaai | maansarovar tahaan kahaai ||
Tahan naasoot aahi mokaama | nabi Kabir pahunch tehi dhaama ||
Tahan Daood payambar hoyi | Jabboor kitaab padhey tahan soyi ||
Tahaan salaamaalek soyi keena | dastaavos unhu uthi leena ||
God Kabir took Muhammad with him to the planes above. First of all they reached Mansarovar. This is addressed as Nasoot Mukaam. Over there they saw Prophet David reading book Zabur. Muhammad met Daood (David) and greeted him by saying Salam alaikum. Both God Kabir and Muhammad then moved to the next world.
(Malkoot) Mokaam 2
Tahvaante puni keen payaana | doosra mukaam vaikunth pramaana ||
Tahvaan pahunch baithey rishi durbaasa | dev sabae baithe tehi paasa ||
Vah vaikunth indra asthaana | malkoot mokaam Musako jaana ||
Musa paigambar padhae kitaaba | uska naam Tauret kitaaba ||
Salaamaalek tahaan ham keena | dastaabos unhu uthi leena ||
From nasoot, God Kabir and Muhammad went upwards and reached a place called Vaikunth (vaikunth refers to heaven) in Indra Lok (world of Lord Indra). Over there Rishi Durvasa and other noble souls were sitting. This was the World of Lord Indra (Indra Lok) and is addressed as Malakoot. Over there they also saw Prophet Moses reading the book Torah. After saying their greeting Salam alaikum, both God Kabir and Muhammad went to the next level.
(Jabroot) Mokaam 3
Vaikunth te aage laayo dori | sumerte sunya athaarah croree ||
Yeto adhar sunya asthaana | jabroot mokaam Isaako jaana ||
Isa paigambar padhae kitaaba | uska naam injeel kitaaba ||
Salaamaalek tahaan ham keena | dasta bos unhu uthi leena ||
Tahanva baithi Visvambhar raai | vahi peer to vahi khudaai ||
Yah Vishnupuri hai bhaai | yaamein bhi ek baikunth banaai ||
Vishnu hai yahaan ka pradhaana | sun Muhammad gyaan vigyaana ||
Uhantey adhar soonya hai bhaai | taaki shobha kahi na jaai ||
From Malakoot (vaikunth), both God Kabir and Muhammad went to the next plane and reached a place where they met Prophet Jesus reading book Injeel. This was the world of Lord Vishnu. This place is addressed as Jabroot Mukam.This world of Lord Vishnu also has a Vaikunth (heaven) present in it. After greeting Salam alaikum to Prophet Jesus, both God Kabir and Muhammad went to the next world above.
(Laahoot) Mokaam 4
Mahaashoonyako laagi dori | gyaarah paalang tahaan te sori ||
Laahoot mokaam kahaavae soyi | jo dekhe bahutae sukh hoyi ||
Rah Mahadev Paarbati sanga | laahut mukaam dekh man changa ||
Yah Muhammad tumhro dera | gan gandharv sab yahaan chera ||
Mustafa paigambar baithe tahaan | furqaan kitaab padhat the jahaan ||
Salaamaalek tahaan ham keena | dastaabos unahu uthi leena ||
Dekhat hau Muhammad asthaana | tum bechoon kaho yahi thekaana ||
Sab firishte salaamaalek keena | tab ham aage ka pag deena ||
From Jabroot mukam, God Kabir and Muhammad reached the world of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. This place is addressed as Lahoot. On reaching this place, God Kabir told Muhammad that this is your destination and Furqaan book is read here. There were many angels and deities present there. After greeting them Salam alaikum, both God Kabir and Muhammad went to the next plane.
(Haahoot) Mokaam 5
Tahante chaley Achint thekaana | ek asankhya sunya parmaana ||
Brahmapuri hai haahoot mokaama | Aadam ka yahaan vishraama ||
Haahoot mokaam ko vahi thekaana | aage hai soham bandhaana ||
After visiting Lahoot Mukam, God Kabir and Muhammad went up to the next world and reached the place of Lord Brahma. This place is called Hahoot Mukaam. Here they saw Prophet Adam resting.
(Baahoot) Mokaam 6
Teen asankhya shoonya parmaani | baahoot mokaam so kaho bakhaani ||
Yah Devi ka asthaana | guptbhed koyi na jaana ||
Nabi Kabir chaley tehi aage | mool surati baithe anuraage ||
God Kabir and Muhammad went up from Hahoot to reach the world of Goddess Durga. This place is called Bahoot. God Kabir told Muhammad that no one knows this secret.
(Faahoot) Mokaam 7
Paanch asankh sunn vichaahee | saptam mokaam kahat hai taahi ||
Sangam dhaam Durga ke aage | yako tum faahoot anuraage ||
Faahoot mokaam tohey bataaya | bhinn bhed kah samjhaaya ||
From the Bahoot mukaam, God Kabir took Muhammad to the 7th plane which is called Fahoot. This is called Sangam place and is present next to Goddess Durga's world.
(Raahoot) Mokaam 8
Ichchha Surati ke pahunchey dweepa | chaar asankh hai lok sameepa ||
Satguru roop kaal dayaala | ek buga aur ek kaala ||
Taako naam raahoot mokaama | Nabi Kabir pahunche tehi thaama ||
God Kabir took Muhammad to the 8th world called Rahoot. This is one of the many places of God Kaal.
(Aahoot) Mokaam 9
Tahaante Sahaj dweep parmaana | doye asankh tahaante jaana ||
Aahoot mukaam Niranjan dhaama | aap gupt jyoti pragtaana ||
Taahi mokaam naam aahoota | sobha taaki dekh bahoota ||
After showing the Rahoot Mukaam, God Kabir showed Muhammad the personal place of God Kaal. This place is called Aahoot. This is where Kaal remains hidden. Only his brightness is visible here.
(Jaahoot) Mokaam 10
Saakhi (Verse) – Pahunche jaayke lok jahan, sant asankh das laakh ||
Akshar dhaam jaahoot mukaama | sapt shankh lok akaana ||
So mokaam jaahoot ka, das mokaam yah bhaakh ||
The 10th plane that God Kabir showed Muhammad was the place of Akshar God or ParBrahm. He is the owner of 700 quadrillion universes. This place is addressed as Jahoot or Yahoot Mukam.
Chaupaai
Salaamvaalekam tahaan ham keena | dastaabos unhu uthileena ||
Tahante Amarlokko chhora | Nabi Kavir pahunch tehi thaura ||
Amarlok ke hans sab aaye | tinki sobha kahee na jaaye ||
Bhari bhari ank miley tahan aaye | dekhi Muhammad rahey bhulaaye ||
Sab mili hans gaye puni tahanva | Saaheb takhat pae baithey jahanva ||
Jagar magar chhatar ujiyaara | aam dhani ka kaho bihaara ||
Asankh bhaanu Purush ujiyaara | Amarlok ko kaho vistaara ||
Sakal hans tahan darshan paai | tinki sobha barni na jaai ||
Tahanva jaay bandagi keena | Nabi bhaye jo bahut adheena ||
The final destination is called Amarlok. This is the immortal place of God Kabir. Both Muhammad and God Kabir finally reached Amarlok. On reaching there the inhabitant souls of Amarlok came to greet them. The souls of Amarlok had immense grandeur. God Kabir went and sat on his throne and the umbrella over the throne was radiant. God Kabir had the brilliance of infinite suns. When Muhammad realised that God Kabir himself was the Supreme Master, he felt embarassed.
Conclusion
In summary, God Kabir has described the status of all the worlds with their respective deities
- Nasut - Nasoot is the place where Mansarovar is situated. This is where Daood (David) is present and is reading the book Zabur.
- Malkut - Malakoot is the place of Indra Dev. This is the place which Moses reached and is reading Tohrat.
- Jabrut - Jabroot is the place of Lord Vishnu. This is what Jesus reached and is reading Injeel.
- Lahut - Lahoot is the world of Lod Shiv. When God Kabir showed Lahoot to Muhammad, He told Muhammad that this is the place he will come to once he dies. Furqaan book is being read here.
- Hahoot - Hahoot is the world of Lord Brahma. This is where Prophet Adam is present.
- Baahoot - Baahoot is the world of Goddess Durga.
- Faahoot - Faahoot refers to the Sangam Abode which is present next to Durga's world.
- Raahoot - Raahoot is a place of God Kaal.
- Aahoot - Aahoot is the personal world of God Kaal. Here he is present but hidden. Only his effulgence is visible.
- Jaahoot /Yahoot - Yahoot refers to the worlds of Akshar God (Akshar Purush). He is the master of 700 quadrillion universes. He is also known as ParBrahm.
